Natalie Jenkins - Chair

Key Skills+Experience – Arts Industry / Independent Producer / Arts Management / Business Development / Strategic Planning
Before establishing her own consultancy, Natalie was General Manager of Perth Theatre Company and has over 15 years management experience in the performing arts industry. Natalie was Chair of Stages WA until April 2007 and is currently a member of the Healthway Board (and Chair of the Arts Advisory Committee) and Chairperson of GAIN Inc.

Jeremy Choy - Treasurer

Key Skills+Experience - Finance / Accounting
Jeremy is from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, via Sydney.
He has lived in Perth since 2001.  He is currently employed as a Business Services & Taxation Accountant for Owen & Plaistowe, a boutique accounting firm in Northbridge.  Jeremy has combined his passion for theatre and accounting by joining the Blue Room Board.  He is proud to give back to the Arts community what he believes he has been given by it.

Mike Nanning - Secretary

Key Skills+Experience – Arts Industry / Technical/ Independent Producer / Arts Management
Mike has over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry and brings to the Blue Room board a wealth of knowledge. Mike has worked in film, theatre, concert and corporate events with an extensive history of national and international touring. His many roles have included venue manager, production manager, tour manager, lighting designer and director for Kompany Kido, a local contemporary dance company. Mike currently heads up his own successful production and design company.

Julia Moody

Key Skills+Experience - Performer / Educator
Currently Head of Voice in the Acting Department at the WA Academy of Performing Arts, Julia works with Theatre, Musical Theatre, Broadcasting, Opera, Production and Dance students in all aspects of Voice specializing in accents and dialects. She has been a professional actor since 1976 working in theatre, film, TV and radio. Some of the many companies Julia has worked with include ABC TV and Radio, SBS TV, Melbourne Theatre Company, Derek Glynne International, New England Theatre Company, Harvest Theatre Company, Hole in the Wall Theatre Company, Deckchair Theatre Company, the National Theatre Company (WA), and Perth Theatre Company.

Adam Mitchell

Key Skills+Experience – Arts Industry / Director / Independent Producer / Youth Arts
Adam is the Associate Director for Black Swan Theatre Company. Recently for the HotBed Ensemble he has directed The Caucasian Chalk Circle and The Laramie Project. ­As a performer he has taken his solo show to Edinburgh Festival and toured with pantomime in the U.K. The Blue Room gave Adam his first directing opportunity with The Brick and The Rose.

Renee McIntosh

Key Skills+Experience - Arts Industry / Actor / Independent Producer
Renee has been working as a professional actor since 2002 when she graduated from the acting course at WAAPA. In 2006 she co-founded Happy Dagger Theatre which produced its first play Oleanna at The Blue Room in September that year.  She also starred in the controversial play The York Crucifixion at The Rechabites' Hall in April 2008. Renee is passionate about The Blue Room and the work it helps to produce, and agrees it is the best place to play in Perth.

Chris Isaacs

Key Skills+Experience – Arts Industry / Writer / Youth
Chris has worked in theatre in   Perth   for over two years now.  He has stage managed for Black Swan Theatre Company, worked as a Mechanist for Thin Ice Productions and even served the odd drink behind the Blue Room Bar.  Chris has been a lighting designer for several independent theatre groups, such as Weeping Spoon Productions and Mythophobic Productions.  He has also written The Forlorn, which received a Blue Room Award for best production team.  Chris is 21.

Jo Wynaden

Key Skills+Experience - Legal

Jo graduated from the University of Western Australia with a double degree in Law and Arts (History major). She has been a Director of Robertson Hayles Lawyers since 2007 and is a member of the National Pro Bono scheme. In addition to her already frantic schedule, Jo currently does pro bono legal work with the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Sussex Street Night Legal Service in Victoria Park and with Perth Legacy. She strongly believes that practitioners have a responsibility to their community and is very proud of that this ethos is reflected within Robertson Hayles Lawyers.

Jo is the current President of the Northbridge branch of the Australian Labor Party; partner of a poet; step-mother to seven; step-grandmother to one. She is also the doting owner of one not-so-fast greyhound named Rosie.
