Malcolm Hastings isn't doing too well. He's a stranger in his own home, being replaced at work by a cartoon character and is haunted by memories of his youth, when he still knew love and job satisfaction.

As all seems lost he finds salvation in the unlikeliest place - the local zoo, where his monkey friends seem so untroubled by the problems of the world.

"You know what monkeys do when things go badly between them?"
"What?"
"Well...I don't know actually...but they certainly don't file for divorce!"

Sometimes bitter, sometimes amusing, this new play looks at an ordinary man who goes to extraordinary lengths in the search for an identity.
